Hello, Alan.
I tried to take my vehicle to Mexico and was denied a temporary vehicle permit to drive it there. I cannot use the insurance and I am requesting for a full refund.
Please cancel policy #0000000 GNP Deluxe of Aaron H. for the 2006 Highlander. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon.
My Kindest Regards,
Aaron M. H.

Thank you so much for your help Alan. I see I have been credited the money back to my account. I will for certain use your company again after I get my issues fixed with Banjercito of Mexico. Thanks again.
Kindest Regards,
Aaron M. H.
Good morning, Martha.
I am told the check will be sent out this coming Tuesday via Courier. Would you mind letting me know when you receive it?
Thanks, Alan

Alan,
Thank You soooo much for your help. We really appreciate it!
Joe
Hi, Joe.
I have asked the company to void the policy, which will result in a full refund to your credit or debit card account. Normally the company retains a $7.50 fee, but I asked them to waive it under the circumstances.
I will advise you when I receive notice that the policy has been voided. Since I will be out of the office next Monday and Tuesday I will not be able to confirm until next Wednesday. By then you will probably see the credit on your credit card account.
I hope all turns out well for you and your family.

Alan,
Thank you so much for your kind and informative letter. I am out the door to La Huerta to give a report in person and receive a paper giving permission to drive my car until the new plates arrive. The delegacion here was very helpful this morning, even giving me an official letter to drive my car to La Huerta, the Municipal seat.
Thanks for your help.

Dear Alan,
thank you for your reply, I need to leave Mexico and go back to the states this week. I want to transport my car to San Diego for the repairs and need to know the following; Can I do the repairs in San Diego? How much of the towing will be covered?
The adjustor did not have the cars engine damage assessed, it is not running at all, but he said he did not have to have the engine damage assessed at all, so the car was not looked at my a mechanic from the insurance company. The adjustor only noted that the engine is dead.
I have the car at the Chrysler dealership in San Jose for diagnosis of the mechanical and should know today the assessment.
What if the car is totaled, which I think it will be, does the insurance company keep the car, or do I?
How long will it take for the insurance to settle? This was a hit and run with no injuries. How do I get a hold of the insurance office? They don't answer the phone I was given (888-823-4745). I spoke with Peter last week and asked him these questions but he has not returned my call, nor has anyone answered the phone for the past several days. Can you assist me?

Hi, D,
I just tried calling your Mexico cell phone but it did not ring after 1 minute. I included the “1” after the 52 country code. I then called your SKYPE number and left a message.
If you would like to call me, please do so this morning as I will be leaving in a couple of hours for appointments.
Your vehicle can be repaired in the U.S. at up to a US labor rate of $50 per hour
The policy includes $300 for towing, but that amount is to tow the vehicle to the nearest repair facility, not 1,000 miles north to the border
It was wise to determine if the engine suffered damage as a consequence of the accident
If the car is totaled the company should give you a choice of keeping the car, in which case they will reduce the amount they pay you by the value of the salvage you would receive if you keep it.
If the car is a total the settlement should be pretty fast . . . a week or two . . . but of course we are coming up on the Christmas holidays and you probably know that things slow down during that period.
Please call Martha Gonzales at the Claim office in Mexicali. Martha is the head of Claims for Tourist Auto. Her number in Mexico is 01-686-564-7350. Alternatively, you can also try 01-686-654-7398. I believe her offices hours begin at either 8:00 or 8:30 AM Baja California time, which is the same time as San Diego.
Please let me know if you have additional questions and if you would still like to talk by phone. I will be pleased to call you.
Best of luck and please let me know if you need additional assistance.

Hello Alan,
I hope you had a good Thanksgiving.
I received this correspondence from Jesus in San Diego. I believe that it is because of your assistance that we are making progress. I requested that the check for $9,652.00 be mailed to my sister-in-law's house in San Rafael.
I can't believe that we have been struggling with this for a year and a half and you were able to get things moving so quickly. Thank you very much. I will let you know when we actually receive the money.

Hi Alan,
A deposit of $11,000 was wired to my checking account on the 14th. Given the insured value was $12,000 less $1.000 for the deductable, I am happy about the settlement. Thanks for all your help.
We will be heading back to Mexico the 1st. of the year - - will be in touch.
Mike
